So it would be normal to assume that if we want to preserve our skin’s natural, youthful look we should replenish the oils we lack and keep our skin smooth and moisturized. To achieve this there are a plethora of natural essential oils we can choose from which have moisturizing and anti-aging properties and will make our skin soft and rejuvenated.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is one of the best oils for skincare. It will prevent premature skin aging and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and age spots. It can also be used as a natural sunscreen and protect our skin from the harmful UV rays,
You can take it orally, add 2 tbsp of coconut oil to your meals on a daily basis and you can use it topically, massaging your skin after showering every day.
Olive oil
Olive oil is also very good for your skin as it has a rejuvenating effect and will keep it soft and youthful. It abounds in vitamin A and E and essential fatty acids which protect your skin from free radical damage.
Just warm a small amount of olive oil and massage your skin with it for a few minutes on a daily basis.
Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is abundant in vitamins E and C and has potent anti-aging effects. Massage your skin with it every day.
Argan oil
This oil is good for your hair and skin as well. It can only be extracted from trees native to Morocco and are very rare, which is why it’s a bit on the expensive side. But it’s super skin-beneficial and will prevent fine lines, sagging skin, and wrinkles. You can clean your skin with it before bedtime and consume a tablespoon of it on a daily basis.
Almond oil
Almond oil is rich in vitamins E and K and is effective in reducing wrinkles and fine lines. It also has potent anti-aging effects on the skin. Massage your face with this oil every day to reap its benefits. You can also heat up a few drops of this oil and apply it under your eyes to eliminate under-eye bags and dark circles.
Neem Oil
Neem oil is another powerful anti-aging oil with antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It’s rich in vitamin E and contains high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids which are guaranteed to bring back your skin’s elasticity and rejuvenate it.
Mix 1 tbsp of neem oil with 1/3 cup of coconut or olive oil (lukewarm) and massage your face with it before bedtime every night. Don’t wash it up until the morning.
Lavender Essential Oil
This essential oil is one of the most common ingredients in many cosmetic products thanks to its powerful antiseptic and anti-fungal properties which make it an effective treatment for psoriasis, acne and similar skin conditions.
Mix 1 tbsp of aloe with 5 drops of lavender oil and massage your skin with this mixture. Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Avocado Oil
This oil is very good for dry skin and has potent anti-aging effects. It’s rich in vitamins A and E and supports cellular health.
Wheat Germ Oil
Wheat germ oil has a regenerating effect and prevents skin problems and premature aging. It’s abundant in vitamins E and A and antioxidants which means that it prevents free radicals damage.
To use it, mix wheat germ oil with honey in equal amounts, stir to combine and apply the mixture on your skin. Leave it on for 20 minutes and rinse. Repeat the process every day. Or you can mix it with aloe, 1 tbsp. of aloe gel with a couple of drops of wheat germ oil and massage your face with it. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse.
Pomegranate Seed Oil
Finally, we have pomegranate seed oil, the richest essential oil in antioxidants which repairs and fights free radical damage and protects your skin from damaging UV rays and environmental damage. It has a powerful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect and helps your skin heal faster.
All of these oils are highly beneficial for your skin and are guaranteed to make it look youthful and radiant. However, be careful before applying any of these oils and perform a patch test first to make sure you’re not allergic to any of them.
