Many of us take many challenging resolutions on the first day of new year. Based on that they will join a gym, change their diet, and many other things. But no matter whatever change you want to bring about in your life, it doesn’t happen in a single day. You need to take your time and gradually bring it into your lifestyle. Only then your mind will get adapted to those changes. So based on that logic, I am giving forth 4 not big but little things you can do in 4 weeks time that can potentially change your life forever.
1st Week: Watch out for your Kitchen
Food is the most basic need for all of us. When it is unhygienic and unhealthy, no matter how much you eat, it will end useless or harmful for your health. So, throw away fatty foods, white sugar, purified, chemically treated, and refined food items, and oils from your kitchen. Use cold-pressed oils. Maximize the usage of ginger, garlic, pepper, turmeric, cumin seeds. Do not store vegetable and fruits in the refrigerator for longer time duration. If possible purchase your vegetables and fruits on a daily basis and eat fresh.
2nd Week: Walking is the Best Exercise
Make it a habit to go for walking exercise early in the morning. But do not over do it the first day. It is enough if you can walk for 10 minutes on the first day. But you can gradually increase the timing and distance as you progress. As walking is very natural you can easily practice this habit over other hard to do exercises.
3rd Week: Practice Pranayama or Breathing Exercise
Choose the best place where you can feel comfortable and relaxed. Meditate there for five minutes and start practicing pranayama or breathing exercise. You can increase the duration of meditation and pranayama as days go by.
4th Week: Sleeping is Good for Health
Turn off your television sets, computer, mobile phone and other electronic devices 30 minutes prior to going to sleep. Get to your bed 15 minutes early and practice the breathing exercises you started on the 3rd week and get to sleep. This will provide you with more peaceful and stress-free sleeping hours.
Hope these tips are useful for you, take a 4-week challenge and let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
